Terms of service
These terms are between you and Rooted Branch Workshop, LLC (referred to here as “Rooted Branch Workshop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and apply when you use the site, create an account, place an order, purchase a digital file, or request custom work. They are effective August 13, 2026. Version 2026-08-13.v2.
Agreement and eligibility
By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked from them. You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your location. If you use the site for a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your sign-in method secure, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Account access may be limited when reasonably necessary to protect customers, orders, or the service.
Products, availability, and pricing
Product descriptions, dimensions, materials, prices, and availability may change before an order is placed. Physical products show ready-made stock and a fallback production lead time. When ready-made stock is unavailable or the ordered quantity exceeds it, the remaining quantity is made after purchase using the disclosed lead time. Fulfillment timing does not by itself change an item’s return policy. The product page and checkout total shown at purchase are the source of truth for that order. We may correct obvious listing or pricing errors, reject an invalid order, or cancel and refund an order that cannot be fulfilled.
Orders and payment
Submitting payment is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when payment succeeds and the order is confirmed. Stripe processes payments and refunds under its own terms. You are responsible for applicable taxes, shipping charges, and accurate delivery information shown at checkout.
Physical products, shipping, and pickup
Handmade pieces may have natural material variation and small differences from photographs. Physical shipping is currently limited to United States addresses. All physical items in one order are fulfilled together in one shipment or one local pickup; place separate orders when different timing is needed. Made-to-order lead times and shipping estimates are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Ready-to-ship means no production lead time, not guaranteed same-day dispatch. Local pickup is available only when offered at checkout; wait for the ready email and use the location named there. Risk of loss and mandatory consumer protections are governed by applicable law. Contact us promptly if an item arrives damaged or incorrect.
Digital products and license
Each digital purchase grants the purchaser a personal-use-only, non-transferable license to use the files for their own non-commercial projects. Commercial use—including paid or client work and selling items made from the files—is not permitted, and commercial licenses are not currently offered. Files may not be resold, shared, redistributed, sublicensed, posted publicly, or included in another digital-file collection. Download access is limited by the period and download count shown on the site. You are responsible for confirming that your software, equipment, materials, and intended use are compatible.
Custom services
A quote request is not an accepted order. Scope, price, timing, revision limits, deliverables, ownership or license terms, and payment milestones for custom work will be stated in the accepted quote or a separate written agreement. Details and reference materials you submit must be yours to use and share for the requested work.
Returns and refunds
Personalized or customized physical items are final sale except for an approved defect, carrier damage present on arrival, or incorrect or materially nonconforming item reported within 7 days of carrier delivery or local pickup. Rooted Branch pays return shipping for an approved arrival issue. Standard physical items may be returned when we are contacted within 14 days of delivery or pickup, whether the purchased unit came from ready-made stock or was made after purchase; they must be unused, undamaged, and in resellable condition, original outbound shipping is not refunded, and the customer pays return shipping. Digital items are non-refundable. If a purchased file is missing, inaccessible, corrupt, or incorrect, contact Rooted Branch Workshop so the delivery problem can be investigated. Custom-project cancellation and service terms remain governed by the accepted quote or agreement. These rules do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Safe and lawful use
Woodworking, fabrication, CNC, laser, and 3D-printing activities involve risk. Digital plans and site information are general resources, not a substitute for checking measurements, material behavior, machine settings, building requirements, or safe shop practices. You are responsible for competent supervision, suitable protective equipment, lawful use, and validating a design before fabrication.
Site content and acceptable use
Rooted Branch Workshop owns or licenses the site design, text, photographs, branding, and other site content. You may use the site for personal shopping and legitimate business inquiries. You may not interfere with security, scrape protected data, misuse download links, impersonate another person, submit unlawful material, or use the service to infringe another party’s rights.
Service availability and responsibility
We work to keep the site, accounts, checkout, support, and downloads available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, Rooted Branch Workshop is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, unsafe fabrication, incompatible tools or software, third-party service outages, or changes made to a downloaded file. We do not exclude responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Agreement priority and Ohio law
These Terms, the policies linked from them, your order summary, and any accepted quote form the agreement for the applicable transaction. An accepted quote controls if it expressly conflicts with these Terms for that custom project. Ohio law governs except where non-waivable consumer law applies. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms prospectively as the shop and services change. The effective date and version above will be revised. Terms that applied when an order was placed or a quote was accepted continue to govern that transaction unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
